H2 Tech Confirms High Performance and Certification of Its Liquid Hydrogen Storage and Transport System
H2 Tech has successfully completed the full testing program for its innovative CryoSafe-42 cryogenic system designed for the storage and multimodal transportation of liquid hydrogen. The testing campaign concluded with the receipt of key safety and design certifications, confirming compliance with international standards for hazardous materials, construction type, and operational safety.
The final thermal performance tests confirmed the system’s exceptional efficiency and reliability. The actual heat influx was measured at 15.5% lower than projected, while the liquid-hydrogen holding time reached 56 days under stable operating conditions. The tests concluded with a controlled activation of the safety valves at 1.15 MPa, fully in line with design safety standards.
The trials generated a unique dataset, including detailed measurements of temperature stratification in the liquid and gaseous hydrogen phases and simulations replicating real-world transport standby conditions.
“This is a landmark moment for the hydrogen industry,” the company stated. “A full-scale cryogenic system has successfully passed complete testing with real liquid hydrogen, achieving — and surpassing — its design benchmarks while obtaining all key safety and compliance certifications.”
The results mark an important milestone toward establishing safe, efficient, and scalable infrastructure for liquid-hydrogen storage and transportation — a vital component of the global hydrogen economy.
