H2 Invest Shares Insights on Hydrogen Logistics at the UNECE Sustainable Energy Week in Geneva

From September 16 to 20, Geneva hosted the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Sustainable Energy Week, one of the key international events shaping the global energy transition agenda.
H2 Invest took part in the discussions dedicated to the future of hydrogen logistics and infrastructure development.
During a special session of the Hydrogen Task Force on “Long-distance shipping, storage and distribution of hydrogen and ammonia,” Victor Medvedev delivered a presentation on the advantages of using liquid hydrogen to build flexible and scalable supply chains. He highlighted the company’s innovations in multimodal transport — including the CryoSafe-42 ISO tank container for safe long-distance hydrogen delivery.
The session also featured presentations from leading international companies such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Air Liquide, and Chart Industries, reflecting a shared vision for the role of liquid hydrogen in the sustainable energy landscape.
Key outcomes of the conference included the incorporation of H2 Invest’s proposals into the final report of the 33rd session of the UNECE Committee on Sustainable Energy, emphasizing the importance of:
• removing infrastructure barriers by improving access to hydrogen transport through existing logistics networks;
• reducing transportation costs via multimodal hydrogen delivery systems;
• minimizing transit risks through distributed hydrogen logistics and diversification.
These recommendations aim to accelerate the launch and implementation of hydrogen projects globally, fostering a more connected and efficient energy future.
About the Hydrogen Task Force:
The Hydrogen Task Force was established within the UNECE Committee on Sustainable Energy to advance hydrogen certification, develop supply chains, and promote collaboration among stakeholders across UNECE member states and beyond.
